Wow… this has been a CRAZY tournament… With the loss of Alcaraz, we knew it was going to be different… then when each of the top seeds started to fall, I am sure we were all thinking – really? Now we are left with no one in the tournament who has ever won a major… that isn’t normal… not for the men, or the women… and here we are…
#1 Sabalenka was taken down by the war monger in three sets, 3-6, 7-5, 6-0 (BAGEL)… nothing was falling Sabalenka’s way… She would strike the ball in the same fashion each time and every time, it was out or in the net… She doesn’t really understand that she needs to create a new strategy and come at them differently, which I believe is a bit of a misstep… but, we all have assholes, right? Chwalinska knocks out #22 Kalinskaya of Russia 7-6(3), 6-3… quite a win for this qualifier from Poland… she now faces the war monger and we will see how this transpires… I am placing my bet on the Qualifier… Kostyuk ousts #7 Svitolina, 6-3, 2-6, 6-2… it was a battle and again the winner was VERY gracious and kind to her competitor and talked about the war and how she really appreciated playing such an amazing champion like Svitolina… it was very nice… and now she has to face a Russian in Andreeva who took out #18 Cirstea of Romania, 6-0 (BAGEL), 6-3… I am hoping for a repeat of Madrid where Andreeva is pushed to tears… and I know that is what jesus wants too…
Zverev ousts #27 Jodar of Spain, 7-6(3), 6-1, 6-3… This was a great tournament for Jodar… he made it to the quarterfinals of a major, this was his second major… so, good things coming for him we hope… Mensik ousts #28 Fonseca of Brazil… you could see that Fonseca wanted this win SOOOO badly, but it wasn’t to be… Mensik took the crowd out of the game and just clobbered the ball… It appeared he had some physical issue, but shrugged it off and took the win, 6-4, 6-3, 7-6(3)… Cobolli oer #4 Auger-Aliassime of Canada… GREAT tournament for Felix… he should have NO shame in this loss… he had a lot of tough matches he came though… and now it is an all Italian Semifinal with Cobolli and Arnaldi who just had enough to outlast Berrettini who had to retire with yet another injury… ugh… he is just plagued… I hope he is better in time for Wimbledon…
And there we have it… sadly, the lady draw has come to a close… no one had points to gain and Kresimir takes the win… With a Rybakina over Gauff selection, he gets a trophy… and you all can SUCK IT… I will take that win especially with having to defend both wins this tournament… and no one is going to like this… but, it would also appear that even though Three of you (Len, Kelly, and James) have Zverev, that will bring you 20 points and it is not enough to pull the win from Kresimir’s dead fingers EXCEPT for Len, who does have enough to take the crown for the Men’s draw with a Zverev win over Mensik… and that would be a third and fourth for James and Kelly if that is the case… so, good luck to the wife beater and you knew that Kresimir was going to be rooting for Mesik no matter what…
