Good Day to you children of the corn… and welcome to 2026 – Happy New Year, as the saying goes… I hope you are all well and ready to see what happens this year at the Australian Open…  There is a LOT, and I mean a LOT of things that have happened in the off season and hopefully you have been paying attention to the tennis news and NOT your Auntie Fran (she is going to thwart your personal decisions – Sinner out in the first round HAHAHAHA!!!)  I haven’t seen hide nor hair of the Serbian idiot… There have been a lot of changes in the seedings… I see new players and old ones who have come back for a visit to the top 32… Poland took the United cup this year… led by Swiatek and Hurkacz… taking the win over a soon to be retired Wawrinka and baby momma, Bencic… Very fun set of matches by all the teams… Belgium and the USA were knocked out in the semis… not too shabby for the Belgian team… although USA won last year and well, it just didn’t work out, did it… Brisbaine was won by Sabalenka and Medvedev with Sabalenka beating Kostyuk and Medvedev over Nakashima both in straight sets… Hong Kong was won by Bublik over Musetti and Bublik enters the top 10 for the first time… Auckland gave Svitolina a trophy with a win over Wang of China… Adelaide, Hobart and Auckland (ATP) are currently going with the semis set in all three… check it out… they may be too tired to play or like Keys last year, win Adelaide and then take it all the way through the AO to win the championship… How DELIGHTFUL… However you slice it, it is time for the “Happy Slam” – well that leaves me out… I will call it the disdainful slam (with emphasis)… Good luck and I hope you fuck it up… 😛
