The First Photo of A Person Ever Taken Was In Paris…

Good day and happy Monday… As I type this Tiafoe is in the fifth set tied 1-1 and 15-15 against Arnaldi… I didn’t catch his full match against Faria… so I am sorry for NOT reporting that Francis was giving some attitude… “Don’t act like you’re tough. You’re not hard, bro. Just play”… eek… unsure what gave the rise to the issue and I am too tired to give it that much energy… no I am not… I am a petty bitch and I am going to give it to you… So… as I was saying to Mabel just the other day, i was saying Mabel, monsters are such interesting people… So a serve was in and Tiafoe was questioning the call… The chair umpire came down and confirmed the call was in… Faria came up to argue about not being respectful… The chair umpire told him he was also being disrespectful… so, get back to the baseline and let’s continue the game… See… petty… shut up and drive…

Let’s start with the lady’s draw and we have an interesting draw which no one predicted… nope, none of us… Sabalenka got the night match against #16 Osaka who took down the Japanese player 7-5, 6-3… I think the organizers were hoping for a more impactful match… but Osaka didn’t have enough to take down the world number one… Sabalenka will take on the war monger who took out #19 Keys of the USA 6-3, 3-6, 6-0 (BAGEL)… well, sigh… Kalinskaya ousts #28 Potapova of Austria 6-4, 2-6, 7-6(7)… now, here is a result that none of us saw coming, Chwalinska made quick work of Parry of France on Philipe Chatrier 6-3, 6-2… It was silent for the most part, just polite clapping as Chwalinska dismantled the Frenchie… ouch… I have seen Chwalinka play before, but never like this… She really didn’t do anything amazing, she was just consistent… kept putting the ball back in play and poof… Quarterfinalist! Svitolina over #11 Bencic of Switzerland, 4-6, 6-4, 6-0 (BAGEL)… and the other Ukrainian Kostyuk ousts #3 Swiatek of Poland 7-5, 6-1… that is a bit of a surprise… but Kostyuk has been playing great tennis and won Madrid… now one of the Ukranians is going to be a semifinalist at this year’s Roland Garros… and no one is left in the draw who has won Roland Garros… interesting… Andreeva over Teichmann of Switzerland 6-3, 6-2, not really a surprise… but Teichmann is a fun player to watch… Cirstea ousts Wang of China 6-3, 7-6(4)… Cirstea is 36 and has been contemplating retirement for a few years… here she is knocking on the door of a potential good result… maybe she will stick around…

the wife beater took care of the “Fils” player De Jong of the Nederlands… 7-6(3), 6-4, 6-1… too much excitement… Jodar ousts Carreno Busta of Spain in five sets… another five setter in which the victor comes back from two sets down… impressive… 4-6, 4-6, 6-1, 6-2, 6-2… Carreno Busta was trying to stop the match due to the rain… he was trying anything to get off the court to recover… The chair umpire was polite… wait, was that an eye roll… no, just me… yeah, play… this is Roland Garros… we play in the light drizzle… Fonseca took the win over ass hat and now he gets another win over #15 Ruud of Norway in four sets, 7-5, 7-6(8), 5-7, 6-2… Mensik over #11 Rublev in five 6-3, 7-6(6), 4-6, 2-6, 6-3… that is a good win… they keep talking about Jodar and Fonseca who are both 19 making the quarterfinals… ummm Mensik is 20, not that far off the mark… so, settle down… Cobolli knocks out Svajda of the USA in four sets, 6-2, 6-3, 6-7(3), 7-6(5)… now, it was funny in an off court interview… a couple males on the panel were talking about how handsome Berrettini is… and Cobolli made a comment about maybe Isner and Querrey should look around, there are a lot of good looking Italians on the tour… and he also said he almost shit himself… so… you know… exciting news day! Auger-Aliassime over Tabilo in straight sets, 6-3, 7-5, 6-1… and Felix makes his first quarterfinal at Roland Garros… hence MY shock… good for him… I like Felix… carry on… Berrettini, also in straight sets takes out Cerundolo the younger of Argentina… a loss 6-3, 7-6(2), 7-6(6)… and last, but not least… Arnaldi is looking like he is about to close this match out… and I am going to take a little break to wait for the result… Ok… result is Arnaldi over #19 Tiafoe of the USA (last American in the draw), 7-6(5), 6-7(5), 3-6, 7-6(3), 6-4… So, three Italians in the quarters and none of them are Sinner… I like it…

Oh Robert… I thought you were going to hang in there and really take it home… but, sadly, no… you are back where you belong… Kresimir has retaken the lead in both draws… yeah, not going to last… there aren’t really a lot of points left… so… it will be interesting to see who pulls this out in the end… Still too many options… Sabalenka to win… that would be pretty good for two of you… and making the final would also be helpful… Svitolina to the final and possibly to win… also a fun choice… The men… one more round for Auger-Alissime for Eric and the rest is all Zverev for points… sheesh… oh, there is Kresimir’s Cobolli to the semi-final too… so… who knows… it is messy… we know that…
